Prepare the pork breast. Rinse a little with warm water, slice and lightly fry in hot oil, poured into the pan in which the food will be prepared.

Peel an onion, wash it, cut it coarsely and add it to the smoked pork breast. Partially cover the dish and simmer until the onion is soft.

Meanwhile, peel the potatoes, wash them and cut them into large cubes, then add them to the pan in which the onion and smoked pork breast were lightly peeled.

Add 150-200 ml of water and boil the ingredients over low heat, covered, stirring from time to time, so as not to crush the potatoes when they penetrate.

Wash the tomatoes and cut them into quarters.

Meanwhile, wash the parsley leaves and chop.

When the potatoes are almost cooked, add the chopped tomatoes and let the food simmer, stirring lightly from time to time. After another 4-5 minutes, add the tomato juice and after another boil (about 3-4 minutes) season the food with: salt, pepper and paprika, then take the pan off the heat.

Sprinkle with chopped parsley and the dish can be served hot with assorted pickles, seasonal salad or hot peppers.

First, lightly slice the smoked pork breast slices and only then add the coarsely chopped onion. If you fry the onion first, until the slices of pork breast penetrate, it may burn and then it will become bitter and will damage the taste of the food.

Coarsely chop the ingredients (onions, potatoes and tomatoes) to prevent them from peeling. For a good-looking preparation, the ingredients must retain the shape in which they were placed in the pot / pan.

Do not add much water, just enough to contain the potatoes (not to cover them!). If you add a lot of water, you will have to boil the food more, in order to reduce the sauce and then the potatoes will porridge.

Add the tomato juice towards the end of the preparation, for another 3-4 minutes of boiling, over low heat.

Gently mix the ingredients in the saucepan so as not to crush the potatoes.

Sprinkle chopped parsley at the end of cooking, when you have taken the pan with the food off the heat.
