Ingredients for the recipe for cereal bars

  • 150 gr. raisins
  • 350 gr. muesli without added sugar
  • 150 gr. sesame
  • 150 gr. gluten-free sunflower core (goes well with salt or plain)
  • 150 gr. dried cranberries
  • 300 gr. seedless dried apricots
  • 200 ml polyfloral honey (or bee, forest)
  • 75 gr. Almond kernels

How do we prepare the recipe for Cereal Bars with Dried Fruits, Honey and Seeds?

Place in a tray lined with baking paper: sunflower seeds, muesli, sesame and bake for 10 minutes over medium heat to brown lightly.

Finely chop the almonds or mix them in a food processor.

Apricots, cranberries and raisins are hydrated for 20 minutes in warm water and then drained.

Apricots and cranberries, hydrated raisins drain and mix in the robot, adding honey until the composition becomes a thick paste.

In a bowl pour the dry composition of seeds (sunflower, sesame, muesli), chopped almonds, and the paste obtained. Mix very well. The composition will be sticky and bound.

The composition obtained from the bowl will be poured into the tray, pressing very well so that there are no gaps and that it can be cut.

My tips are:

If you do not have apricots, they can be replaced with figs, plums, dates. If you have one of these ingredients you can add 2-3 tablespoons of jam, or apricot jam, plums, or 2 bananas.

Ingredients Quick pie with apples and cereals

  • 150 grams of oatmeal
  • 170 grams of brown sugar
  • 250 grams of flour
  • 180 grams of butter
  • 1 knife tip of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 large apples (or 3 smaller ones) of a sour variety (I used granny smith)
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • 30 gr. corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 130 ml. of freshly squeezed apple / orange juice
  • optional: some nuts, 1-2 tablespoons of cornflakes, raisins, etc.

Preparation Quick pie with apples and cereals

Crust preparation

1. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, baking powder, brown sugar and oatmeal. If you use 1-2 tablespoons of walnuts or other optional additives, now is the time to add them as well. I also added some cornflakes to make the mixture more crunchy.

2. Mix all the dry ingredients well, then grate 150 grams of cold butter over them, through the grater with large holes.

3. Incorporate the butter in the dry ingredients with a fork or with a pastry knife, until the mixture acquires a sandy appearance. Yes, it looks dry, but it should be so, don't be tempted to add extra butter or liquids. You need to get a crumble composition (see also the apple crumble recipe).

Assembly

4. A little more than half of the dry mixture (say 60%) is poured into a small tray. I used my 25/20 cm silicone form. Press well into a compact layer.

5. Peel the apples and peel the seeds, cut them into thin slices and sprinkle with lemon juice. Place the apple slices in an even layer on top of the base layer, then sprinkle with cinnamon.

6. Mix the sugar (100 grams, I say it works even less) in a saucepan with the starch. Gradually add the cold juice. Homogenize very well so that it does not remain lumpy and put the pan on the fire, stirring constantly until it boils and thickens. Add to this composition the vanilla extract and the remaining butter (30 grams), then pour over the apples arranged above the top of the quick apple pie.

7. Spread the rest of the flour and cereal mixture over the apple layer and press lightly (as much as possible, so as not to disturb the filling layer). And ready, the quick apple pie is ready to bake!

Cooking

8. The tray with the quick-assembled apple pie is placed in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius, for 45 & # 8211 50 minutes, until a lightly browned crust is on top.

SERVE

9. Allow to cool in the pan completely, then cut into squares / rectangles as desired. I left it for about 2 hours, then cut it. The first impression was not brilliant. Although it tasted good with apple pie, I found the cereal top too crumbly. The next day, however, it became perfect, so I posed for her this morning with the decision that she deserves to show it to you. My advice, therefore, is to let this cereal bar with apples or quick apple pie (I didn't decide what to call it: P) to rest overnight, before serving. After this break, it will be nicely portioned and will taste very good.

Cereal biscuits - recipe

Although the list of ingredients is a bit long, it can be adjusted according to the ingredients you have in the house. It is not necessary to use all the types of seeds or dried fruits indicated here.

Adapt the recipe to taste or possibilities.

• 100 g of crushed cereals (wheat, rye, corn, rice)
• 70 ml of olive oil
• 90 g of honey
• 50 g of dates
• 1 apple
• salt and cinnamon to taste
• 50 g of ground oatmeal
• 50 g of ground flax seeds
• 50 g of sunflower seeds
• 25 g of sesame seeds
• 50 g of finely chopped walnuts
• 75 g of raisins
• 60 g of chopped prunes
• 50 g of coconut
• 15 g of cocoa
• 300 ml of water

Mix the first 6 ingredients in a saucepan until smooth. Add water to them and put the pot on the fire. Let the cereal simmer for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent the contents from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

After the cereals have boiled and softened completely, remove the pan from the heat and allow to cool. Then add the remaining ingredients: seeds, nuts and dried fruit, coconut and cocoa powder.

From the obtained composition, shape biscuits or cookies of the desired shape and size, and put them in the dehydrator for 14 hours, at a temperature of 50 degrees Celsius.

If you do not have a dehydrator in the house, you can bake the biscuits in the oven heated to 200 degrees Celsius, about 20-30 minutes, or until they dry and brown a little.

- Half a banana
- agave syrup.

Method of preparation:

1. Pour over the bulgur, in a small saucepan or pan, 200 ml of water and add salt. Bring to the boil until the water is completely absorbed (about 15 minutes).

2. Add the milk and let it heat over low heat.

3. Put the milk bulgur in four bowls, then garnish with flax seeds, dried fruit, nuts and banana slices. Add agave syrup to taste and serve immediately.

3. Quinoa pudding with strawberries and rhubarb

Ingredients (6 servings):

- 450 ml of water
- 200 gr of fresh or frozen rhubarb
- 200 gr of cut strawberries
- 60 gr of quinoa
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 50 gr of brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 tablespoon of corn
- 1 glass of low-fat Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Method of preparation:

1. Pour 400 ml of water into a pan, over rhubarb, strawberries, quinoa, cinnamon and add a little salt. Turn on high heat until the composition boils, then reduce it. Leave the pudding on the stove for 25 minutes, until the quinoa is soft, then add the sugar and lemon juice.

2. Mix the cornstarch with 50 ml of water in a bowl. Add it over the quinoa and fruit mixture, then leave everything on the fire for a minute, stirring constantly.

3. Put the pudding in small bowls and leave it to cool for an hour.

4. Before serving, mix the yogurt, vanilla and a tablespoon of sugar in a bowl, then add the cream over the belly, garnishing with strawberries and mint leaves.

Ingredients (6 servings):

- 1 tablespoon butter

Method of preparation:

1. Prepare the polenta in milk, with sugar and a little salt (you can add a little vanilla if you like).

2. For the fruit sauce, melt the butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add honey, lemon juice, cinnamon and fruit. When the composition boils, turn down the heat and leave everything to cook for another five minutes.

3. Pour the polenta into bowls and use the warm berry sauce as a topping.

1. Vegan cake with bananas and oatmeal

Ingredients (6 servings):

- 120 g of oatmeal
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 200 gr of wholemeal flour
- 1 teaspoon flax seeds (+3 tablespoons water)
- 5 medium bananas, crushed
- Maple syrup
- 50 gr of melted coconut oil
- 60 gr of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder.

Method of preparation:

1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and grease a 20x20cm tray with a little oil or butter.

2. In a small bowl, mix the flax seeds and water, then set them aside to thicken the composition while you prepare the rest of the cake. The role of this mixture is to replace the egg.

3. In another bowl, mash the bananas, add a little maple syrup, coconut oil, sugar, vanilla extract, vinegar, cinnamon, salt and body powder.

4. After you have mixed the composition well before, add the oatmeal, then the flour and the baking soda. Advice: combine the baking soda with the flour before adding them to the dough. Set the mixture aside for a few minutes before pouring it into the pan.

5. Leave the banana cake in the oven for 35-40 minutes, until it passes the toothpick test. Let it cool for a few hours, then serve it with fruit sauce or as such, as a dessert or snack.
