Edward Caban, the Uber driver who was attacked by a drunk Taco Bell executive, expressed doubt over his attacker’s apology
“I don’t have any reason to believe him as a person,” Caban said.
Ben Golden, the 32-year-old Taco Bell executive who lost his job after footage of his drunken assault on an Uber driver went viral, has issued an apology for his behavior — but it’s fallen on deaf ears.
Golden, who claims that he did not know what happened until he saw the footage personally, told CBS Los Angeles, “It’s not me in the video. I’m ashamed.”
Golden also said that he’d like Edward Caban, the 23-year-old victim of his attack, to know that he is “sincerely sorry” for his behavior.
Caban, however, isn’t buying it. “I don’t have any reason to believe him as a person,” Caban said in his own interview with CBS LA. “I don’t trust him.” Caban has reportedly filed a lawsuit against his attacker and told the station, “I’m not sure he would feel the same way if this didn’t go viral. I don’t know if he’s crying because he was outed.”
And it can be paraphrased?
