Fluffy fasting cake with candied fruit and shit
ingredients: 500 gr 000 flour, 20 g fresh yeast, 50ml Mirinda or Fanta carbonated juice (for coloring), 150 g mineral water, 80ml oil, 60g vanilla sugar, grated orange peel or lemon, a pinch of salt, 100g candied fruit , 100 g shit
Method of preparation : It starts by preparing the mayo. Put 3-4 tablespoons of juice, 2 tablespoons of flour and crushed yeast in a bowl. Mix the composition well and leave to rise in a warm place for about an hour to grow the mayo. In a deep bowl, sift the flour, form a small hole in the middle and add the yeast mayonnaise, the rest of the juice, the mineral water, the oil, the vanilla sugar, the salt and the orange peel. Knead the dough well until it becomes elastic and the air bubbles inside can be heard breaking. Grease the dough with a little oil, put it in a bowl and leave it to rise for about 2 hours in a warm place, covered with a towel.
Divide the dough in half, spread each sheet on the worktop, sprinkle with finely chopped shit, candied fruit. The two rolls of dough are twisted together and placed in a cake pan greased with oil. Leave it to rise again until it comes out of shape easily. Grease with a little juice mixed with sugar and bake in the oven heated to 200˚ and bake for about 30-35 minutes.
After baking, remove and quickly grease with honey or you can powder it with sugar, if desired.

Fasting cake with shit
Cozonac is a sweet at the rank of honor for me. I usually make cakes just for the holidays because I see in them something special, which you don't do every day. You will find cake recipes on my blog in various variants, but none of the posts so far.
I hesitated to make fasting cake until now because it seemed a more delicate job. But there were only some fears without a very solid basis, especially since I used sweet dough in fasting recipes and it behaved very well.
In the end I decided to give it a try and I can say that something extremely good came out. I would not have imagined that a fasting cake can be so good. Fluffy, sweet, soft and fragrant. Just like a real cake has to be!
1 teaspoon orange powder
Put 100 ml of freshly squeezed orange juice on low heat together with the sugar. When the juice is warm, turn off the heat and add the yeast. Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes.
Sift the flour together with the salt and make a hole in the middle. Pour the mayonnaise in the middle then 150 ml of mineral water, vanilla sugar and orange powder. We start kneading the dough. If necessary, add the map until we get a soft dough, non-sticky but easy to knead.
Continue kneading for another 5-10 minutes then add the oil and incorporate it easily. Knead until the dough is homogeneous and elastic again. Cover the dough with cling film and leave it to rise for an hour in a place away from currents.
We cut the shit into large pieces and set it aside. Grease an average form of cake with oil.
Pour the leavened dough on the well-floured worktop. We divide it into two equal parts. Spread the first half in a rectangular sheet and sprinkle the pieces of shit on top. We roll the sheet as tightly as we can and set it aside. Do the same with the rest of the dough.
We weave the two rolls and put the cake in the tray. We leave it to rise for another half hour in a warm place.
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees then put the cake in the oven. After 10 minutes, reduce the heat and leave it for another 30-35 minutes until it browns nicely on the surface. Remove the cake from the oven and leave it in the pan for 10 minutes, then carefully transfer it to a grill and leave it to cool.
Serve the fasting cake with shit only after it has cooled completely. This way we make sure that we can cut it nicely and easily. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS for a cake:

Make a yeast mayonnaise, half the sugar and a few tablespoons of juice, pour over the flour and let the mayonnaise swell well.
When the mayonnaise has risen, knead a non-sticky dough, which should not be hard. Grease the bowl with a film of oil, turn the dough on all sides, cover with oil and leave to rise, warm.
When it is ready to rise, pour the dough on the work table greased with oil, divide it in two, each part is spread by hand and put shit, roll, then twist between them, forming the cake. Put the cake in the greased pan or lined with baking paper and leave to rise for an hour.
Sprinkle the surface of the cake with a little juice and put it in the preheated oven at 200 degrees, after 10 minutes reducing the heat to 180 degrees. When you find it quite brown, cover with a damp sheet of baking paper, continuing to bake for another 40 minutes.
Fasting cake with walnuts and cocoa
- Pour the dough on the work surface.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal parts, ie half horizontally and the same vertically.
- Spread the first part of the dough with your hands so that you get a rectangular shape with a length the size of the tray you will use.
- Divide the filling into 4 parts. You will put the first part on the spread dough.
- Distribute the filling over the entire surface except the edges of the dough.

How to make fasting cake

- Put the dough in the pan greased with oil or vegetable margarine. If you use baking paper, the trays will not need to be greased.
- Cover the two trays and leave them in a warm place for 15 minutes. Then they can be put in the preheated oven at 170 C for 45-50 minutes.

For those who still want to enjoy something sweet, but also keep fasting, there are several alternatives.
The fasting cake with Fanta is not only delicious, but also very easy to make. You do not need sophisticated ingredients and it is perfect to be served during Lent, writes impact.ro.
Dough for 2 cakes:
900 g cake flour
120 g sugar
20 g of dry yeast
1 pinch of salt
130 ml oil
500 ml sour orange juice (Fanta)
grated lemon peel
vanilla and rum essence.
350 g shit
200 g walnut kernels
4 tablespoons cocoa
100 g golden raisins
4 tablespoons sugar.
METHOD OF PREPARATION
For the dough:
- Sift the flour and mix with the sugar, salt powder and dry yeast.
- Heat the sour juice and add by mixing the composition with a spoon, for homogenization.
- Add the flavors, lemon peel and oil and knead the dough for more than 10 minutes.
